Minister Shahid departs for OIC meeting in Jeddah

Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid has departed to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia to take part in the Organisation of Islamic Corporation (OIC).

The Minister will be participating in the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers Extraordinary Meeting. The Minister had tweeted just before his departure that talks related to Palestine will be held at the meeting.

Talks will be held regarding the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's pledge to annex the Jordan Valley, West Bank, and the Dead Sea if his party wins the upcoming election. The area is inhabited by 65,000 Palestinians and 11,000 illegal Israeli settlers.
