Rasdhoo affected by tidal waves

Rasdhoo in Alif Alif Atoll has been affected by tidal waves and sea swells.

A tweet by Police stated that they were working on draining the water. The President of Rasdhoo council Abdul Jaleel Moosa stated to "Sun" that the island was affected by tidal waves from the North West side since morning and several residences and even the school was affected by the waves.

He also stated that work was being carried out with the police to cut rivers to drain the water and massing sandbags. Jaleel also stated that the island it was common for the island to be affected by tidal waves during sea swells.
