Roadshows to market the Maldives is being carried out in South Korea.
MMPRC stated that the roadshows named as "Journey to the sunny side" is aimed to market the Maldives as a tourism destination. These roadshows conducted in partnership with Singapore Airlines will be carried out in Seoul and Busan today and tomorrow.
Some resorts of the Maldives will also be taking part in these roadshows alongside MMPRC. They include Vakkaru Maldives, Hulhule Island Hotel, Bandos Maldives, Villa Hotels and Furaveri Resort.
Lucky draws will b conducted at the two cities where the roadshows are held with the selected winner entitled to a holiday in the Maldives.
South Korea is an important tourist market for the Maldives and the country saw 34,400 tourists arrive from South Korea last year alone. The statistics up to June of this year have shown that the Maldives have already received 17,358 visitors.
