Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Education Mohamed Saeed was dismissed from his position last Tuesday.
Saeed was dismissed after spending nearly three months under suspension.
Civil Service Commission reports that Saeed was dismissed from his position based on the evidence uncovered by the committee charged with probing the allegation against him.
Saeed was first suspended in January for a period of one month. However, the time of suspension was increased for one more month in February and once more in March.
Saeed was suspended on account of an accusation presented by the Minister of Education Aishath Ali.
CSC has declined to specify the allegation against him.
Saeed was appointed as the Permanent Secretary of Education Ministry on 9th November 2017. He filled the position of Director General of the Ministry before he was appointed as PS.
