President Solih's holds 1st meeting with an independent MP-elect

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih had his first meeting with one of the seven independent members elected for the 19th People’s Majlis last Wednesday.  

President Solih held a meeting with MP-elect of Vilimale Ahmed Usham at the President’s Office.

After the meeting Usham posted in his Facebook account that he had held discussions with President Solih regarding the development of Vilimale.

He stated that he is willing to work together with the government for the benefit of the citizens.

Vilimale constituency seat is the only seat that Maldives Democratic Party (MDP) lost from the seats of 3 cities. 

Usham has stated that he will stay an independent candidate until the end of his five years of administration.
