The two-day conference organized by National Institute of Education (NIE) for the heads of Maldivian schools has begun at Dharubaaruge.
The conference was inaugurated by Minister of Education, Dr. Aishath Ali this Saturday morning.
The conference is being attended by principal-level officials at Maldivian schools as well as the heads of departments of Ministry of Education.
Ministry of Education reports, the participants, during the conference, will discuss modern-day challenges faced by schools, rapid changes in global education trends and its impact on students, and create a future plan for education in Maldives.
Speaking during the inauguration this Saturday morning, State Minister of Education, Dr. Abdulla Rasheed stressed the crucial role heads of schools play on success of the schools.
“Results of researches on education repeatedly shows that behind every accomplished schools stands an accomplished principal. And some researches have said – ‘show me a successful school and I’ll show you a successful principal,’” said Rasheed.
