Dr. Fazeela Waheed appointed Dean of Faculty of Health Sciences

Dr. Fazeela Waheed (CR) receives her letter of appointment as Dean of Faculty of Health Sciences from Vice Chancellor of MNU, Dr. Ali Fawaz Shareef (CL) at the MNU Campus on January 9, 2019.

Dr. Fazeela Waheed has been appointed Dean of Faculty of Health Sciences at the Maldives National University (MNU).

Fazeela was handed her letter of appointment as Dean of FHS by Vice Chancellor of MNU, Dr. Ali Fawaz Shareef, in a ceremony held at the MNU Campus this Wednesday.

Prior to her appointment, Fazeela has been working at MNU’s Research Department, and had been working at the FHS since 2000.

She obtained her PhD in Health Service Management from the University of Western Australia.

Speaking at the ceremony this Wednesday, Fazeela acknowledged the great responsibility she was taking on as Dean of FHS. And promised to honor the responsibility to the best of her ability.

She also promised to increase research carried out by FHS during her tenure as Dean.

FHS is MNU’s oldest faculty. And the faculty which has educated the most number of Maldivian students.
