A pickup crashed into a parked car, injuring four people in a roadside accident in Male’ City at midnight, last Monday.
Maldives Police Service reports the accident took place at midnight on Kan’baa Aisaa Rani Hingun, near the Hiriya School.
‘Sun’ has been informed the pickup had been speeding when it crashed into the parked car. And the four injured parties had been bystanders near the parked vehicle.
An eye witness reported one of the bystanders had hit his head and lost consciousness at the scene and was taken to the Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital.
The seriousness of his condition is unclear at this point.
The other three bystanders escaped with minor scrapes and bruises.
Both the pickup and the car involved in the collision suffered damages.
The pickup was reportedly being driven by a man of foreign nationality.
