Police search for car that fled after crash with another car

Police is seeking to locate a car that fled after a crash with another car near Kaamil Didi School at Hulhumale’ Phase II last night.

Police said they received a report of a crash between two cars following which one of them fled the scene of the accident at approximately 11:40pm last night.

They detailed that the remaining car recorded damage to various extents in the accident. Four people who were in the car at the time of the accident were treated at Hulhumale’ Hospital and discharged.

Police noted that the driver of the car possessed a valid driver’s license.

The car had veered out of control in the crash and slammed into the wall of Kaamul Didi School subsequent to which part of the wall had collapsed.

Police stressed that the accident was under further investigation.
