Two former judges, Nihan and Muhuthaz to house arrest

Former Chief Justice, Abdulla Saeed, former Supreme Court Judge, Ali Hameed, and the former Prosecutor General, Muhuthaz Muhusin along with the former Magistrate at the Maamigili Court, Ahmed Nihan, has been moved to house arrest.

Sun Media journalists have witnessed them being brought to the capital to be moved to house arrest. Correctional Service have yet to announce the reason for the move.

Abdulla Saeed and Ali Hameed were sentenced to prison by the Criminal Court after being convicted of obstruction of justice.

Former Prosecutor General, Muhuthaz Muhusin brought to Male' City to be moved to house arrest. (Sun Photo/Ahmed Awshan Ilyas)

Muhuthaz and Nihan were sentenced to prison after being found guilty of falsifying a court order to arrest the former President, Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.
