Dhiraagu announces a profit of MVR 216M for Q2

The largest telecommunications company of Maldives, Dhiraagu has announced a net profit of MVR 216 million for the second quarter of 2018.

The second quarter report issued by Dhiraagu last Tuesday says the company earned an income of MVR 694 million from April to June of this year.

Statistics show an 11 percent increase in income and a three percent increase in profit compared to second quarter of 2017.

The company linked the increase in its performance to increase in usage and profit from its mobile data, fiber to the home and enterprise services.

Dhiraagu paid MVR 35 million as tax for the second quarter of 2018.

Statistics show the company spent MVR 350 million as expenditure during the second quarter.

Earnings per share during the second quarter was MVR 2.84 per share. And the value of a Dhiraagu share stood at MVR 11.36 by the end of the second quarter.
