Warehouses in Male' to be moved to industrial zone

Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) has been contracted to to build and maintain logistic warehouses to move the warehouses across Male' City to the industrial zone. 

At a ceremony held at the Housing Ministry today, the project was signed over to MPL by the Housing Minister, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. The agreement was signed by the CEO of MPL, Ibrahim Abdul-Razzaq Haleem. 

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Muizzu said that the drawings for the project is set to be finalized within two months. Dr. Muizzu said that the project also includes the construction of an 18 story parking structure along with five other buildings for workshops and mult-purpose storage warehouses.

The Housing Minister said that the public is facing many difficulties due to many warehouses in the city being on small roads. And to resolve this issue, all warehouses are going to be moved to the industrial zone. 

Dr. Muizzu said that the project is designed to be Eco-friendly and would bring a major change to the capital.
