Home Ministry State Minister Abdul Majeed Ibrahim has been dismissed from his post.
The dismissal was confirmed by Home Ministry spokesperson Fatimath Rifaath, who said he was removed from office on Thursday. She did not provide further details regarding the decision.
Abdul Majeed had been overseeing the Foreign Labour Department and the Department of National Registration (DNR) under the Home Ministry.
With his removal, the ministry, led by Home Minister Ali Ihusaan, now has six state ministers and 19 deputy ministers.
