The Ministry of Social and Family Development has opened applications for the third batch of its Job Readiness Program, an initiative designed to prepare people with disabilities for the workplace.

The programme provides participants with basic education, practical skills and workplace preparation to support their transition into employment.

The first batch of the programme ran from June 26 to August 29, 2024, with 12 participants successfully completing the training, according to the ministry. The second batch was held from May 5 to November 2, and 10 participants completed the programme.

Applications for the third batch, a six‑month programme, are open until Monday. The ministry said the new round will begin on January 12, 2026.
