Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal welcome baby boy; Maldives extends congratulations

Bollywood stars Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal have welcomed their first child, a baby boy, on Friday.

The news was shared via a joint Instagram post featuring a birth announcement card that read:  

“Our bundle of joy has arrived. With immense love and gratitude, we welcome our baby boy.”

The couple captioned the post simply: “Blessed. Om.”

Following the announcement, Visit Maldives, where Katrina serves as Global Ambassador, posted a congratulatory message on Instagram. The post read:  

“A new life, a new beginning. Congratulations Katrina Kaif, our Global Ambassador, and Vicky Kaushal on welcoming their baby boy.”  

The message was shared by both Visit Maldives and the Maldives Marketing & Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC).

Katrina and Vicky had confirmed their pregnancy in September, after months of speculation. Their announcement featured a Polaroid-style photo of the couple, with Vicky cradling Katrina’s baby bump. The caption read:  

“On our way to start the best chapter of our lives with hearts full of joy and gratitude.”

The birth of their son has drawn widespread congratulations from fans and fellow celebrities across social media. Industry colleagues including Nimrat Kaur, Maniesh Paul, and Huma Qureshi were among those who sent well wishes following the announcement.

Katrina and Vicky were married in December 2021 in a private ceremony at Six Senses Fort Barwara, Rajasthan. Since then, the couple has largely kept their personal life out of the spotlight, with Katrina maintaining a low profile during her pregnancy.
