With just one week left to register, Ooredoo Maldives is gearing up for its annual Fun Run, scheduled to take place on December 19 in Hulhumale'.
Billed as the “happiest run in the Maldives,” the event invites participants of all ages to join a vibrant celebration of movement, health, and community.
Registration closes at 23:59 on November 14, and organizers have urged early sign-ups due to limited slots.
Participants can choose between two kit options:
Fun Kit (MVR 210): Includes a T-shirt, wristband, cloth bag, eyeglasses, and a multipurpose bandana. Bib customization was free until October 31.
Standard Kit (MVR 110): Includes a T-shirt and wristband.
Ooredoo notes that the Fun Kit will remain available for customization until the end of this month, with no additional charge
The 5-kilometre race is open to anyone aged six and above, and is designed to be inclusive — whether participants choose to run, walk, or dance along the route. Last year’s event drew over 6,500 participants, making it one of the most popular community events in the country.
Ooredoo says the goal of the Fun Run is to promote a healthy lifestyle and demonstrate that running can be both fun and accessible. The company has also launched an online portal for registration and kit purchases.
The event will feature color zones at every kilometre, adding a festive splash to the course and encouraging runners to celebrate each milestone with joy and energy.
