Villimale' banyan trees cut, 300 to be planted

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu announced on Tuesday evening that the two old banyan trees in Villimale' will be cut down, while 300 new trees will be planted across the island as part of the government’s wider reforestation program.   One of the banyan trees stands near the Villimale' Police Station, while the other is located at the water sports beach area. Residents
