Global Ambassador Taz Skylar arrives in Maldives

Tarek Yassin 'Taz' Skylar, known for his role as Sanji in Netflix's One Piece series, has arrived in the Maldives as a Global Ambassador to promote the country's tourism and natural beauty.

Skylar was appointed a Visit Maldives Global Ambassador last week to highlight the Maldives' natural beauty and rich culture.

Skylar will remain in the Maldives until the 15th of next month, participating in various fun and food-related marketing activities.

With over 1.8 million followers on Instagram, averaging 45,000 likes and more than 300 comments, Visit Maldives anticipates that Skylar's influence will significantly boost interest in the Maldives.

One Piece is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda in 1999. It chronicles the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and his crew, the Straw Hat Pirates, as they navigate the Grand Line in pursuit of the mythical treasure known as the "One Piece," aiming for Luffy to become the next King of the Pirates.

The Netflix live-action series, released in 2023, is still ongoing. The series became the most-watched show in 84 countries and has been widely acclaimed as one of the best live-action anime adaptations ever produced.
