Camera captures missing man jumping off Sinamale’ Bridge

CCTV captured the young man reported missing from Male’ by his family earlier this July jumping off the Sinamale’ bridge into the sea, say the police.

Hassan Yamin, 30, G. Garnet, K. Male’, disappeared without a trace after leaving his residence in Male’ at around 09:25 pm on July 11.

He was reported missing by his family on July 14.

In a statement on Tuesday, the police said that CCTV cameras captured him jumping off the Sinamale’ Bridge and into the sea at 03:24 am on July 13.

Marine Police and Coast Guard have been mobilized for the search operation in light of the new development.

In an earlier statement on July 18, the police had said they were analyzing a huge volume of CCTV footage to trace Yamin’s movements he left his home.

The police also said they found no signs of struggle or anything else from his apartment.

The police also confirmed there was no record of Yamin leaving the country.

On Tuesday, the police said the latest developments in the case have been shared with Yamin’s family, and that investigators are working closely with his loved ones.
