Two additional councilors from Noonu Henbadhoo council have signed for Maldives Development Alliance (MDA).
The two councilors signed for party membership during a meeting held by MDA on Henbadhoo recently.
Two other members of the Henbadhoo council, Hussain Aboobakuru and Mohamed Khaleel had previously signed for the party.
The two new council members who signed for MDA are the Council President Adam Sameer and Council Member Ahmed Shiham. Both members were elected to the Henbadhoo council as independent candidates.
With the exception of one, all members of the Henbadhoo council have now joined MDA. Spokesperson for the party and also the party’s Deputy Leader Ahmed Amir has said that 90 percent of the Henbadhoo population has now joined MDA.
Amir also said that the people of Henbadhoo are exemplary, where people live cohesively in unity and harmony. He also said that MDA team currently working on the island is working towards convincing the entire island population to join the party.
The party’s Interim Leader Ahmed Siyam Mohamed and Deputy Leaders Ahmed Amir and Ali Mauroof attended the meeting held in Henbadhoo.
