Nasif transferred from HDC to WAMCO chairman role

Ahmed Nasif Didi was appointed on Tuesday as the chairman of the Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO).

Nasif had previously been serving as the chairman of the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) – a role he had been appointed to as part of the management changes implemented by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu after he assumed office in November 2023.

But the Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) announced on Tuesday morning that Nasif has been appointed as the chairman of WAMCO.

ހައުސިންގ ޑިވެލޮޕްމަންޓް ކޯޕަރޭޝަން ލިމިޓެޑްގެ ޗެއަރމަން ކަމުގެ މަޤާމުގައި ހުންނެވި ސ. ހުޅުދޫ، ރިވަރސައިޑް އަލްފާޟިލް އަޙްމަދު ނާޞިފް، އެ މަޤާމުން ވަކިކޮށް ވޭސްޓް މެނޭޖްމަންޓް ކޯޕަރޭޝަން ލިމިޓެޑްގެ ޗެއަރމަން ކަމުގެ މަޤާމަށް މިއަދު ވަނީ އައްޔަނުކޮށްފައެވެ.

Nasif has held a number of top posts at state corporations, including as the managing director of HDC and as the managing director of Thilafushi Corporation.
