Fire breaks out at vacant home in Maafannu district

A fire broke out at a home in Male’ City’s Maafannu district on Sunday morning.

The fire broke out at M. House Plaza, a vacant house in front of the Voice of Maldives (Dhivehi Raajjeyge Adu) building.

Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) said its Fire and Rescue Services attended to the scene of the fire which has now been brought under control.

The authority said further information would be shared following new developments.

Notably, a fire broke out at a godown in Majeedhee Magu two weeks ago which resulted in MVR 1 million in losses.
