Police look for local woman in drug-related investigation

Maldives Police Service on Wednesday announced a manhunt on a local woman for her possible ties to a drug-related investigation of the authority.

Police in its announcement said, they were looking for the woman in relation to an ongoing investigation of the authority’s Drug and Trafficking Investigation department. They authority in its announcement said the manhunt was issued as they were unsure of the woman’s whereabouts.

Police announced manhunt on one Fathimath Shifana, aged 37, Freshlight, Male’ City.

She is being ordered to attend for investigation in accordance with Section 27 of the Regulation of Criminal Investigation Procedure. The authority has demanded the woman to attend for investigation before 14:00hrs on February 9^th.
