President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has described Estonia as an inspiration for others in digital transformation and innovation.
He made the remarks during the official dinner hosted by Estonian President Dr. Alar Karis, held at the Knighthood House Monday evening.
Upon arrival, President Muizzu was warmly received by the Estonian President, and prior to the dinner, both leaders delivered brief remarks highlighting the significance of President Muizzu’s visit. The two leaders expressed hope for stronger cooperation between both countries.
In his remarks during the dinner, President Muizzu described his visit as a historic milestone, making the first a Maldivian head of state visited Estonia. He said the visit symbolized the shared commitment to fostering closer ties between the two countries through mutual understanding and collaboration.
At the dinner, while commending on President Dr. Karis’s visionary leadership, Muizzu highlighted the achievements of Estonia in digital transformation and innovation. He noted that Estonia serves as a global example of how technology can empower societies. He also expressed eargerness to learn from Estonia’s expertise in the area.
Muizzu concluded his remarks at the dinner by expressing optimism for the future of the Maldives-Estonia relations.
President Muizzu will conclude his official visit to Estonia and fly to Maldives on Thursday.
