Police officer arrested over drug allegations

A police officer at Kulhudhuffushi Police Station has been arrested over a case related to drugs.

This has been confirmed by Police Media Official Sub-Inspector Hassan Haneef, who said that the officer was arrested last night at around 12:30 am. Haneef said that the officer was suspected of being intoxicated, and arrested when test results came positive for drugs.

The police have not revealed any details on the arrested officer.

Sun Online has received information that the officer who was arrested is Lance Corporal Ahmed Hashim, 25, of Laggaahuraa, Kulhudhuffushi. Kulhudhuffushi Magistrate Court has granted a ten day detention period against him.
