President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has submitted the names of the applicants who met the requirements for the vacant post of Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA)’s board membership as his nominees for the post.
The matter of the names nominated by the President for MIRA’s board membership was slated on the agenda of Monday’s Parliamentary sitting.

The President, in his letter, requested the Parliament to review his nominees and grant approval to appoint one of them for the post.
Parliament Speaker Abdul Raheem Abdulla forwarded the names to the Committee on Economic Affairs for review.
The President’s Office opened applications for MIRA’s board membership on November 17th as the tenure of one of the incumbent members is due to expire soon.
