Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef states President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has proved that the current administration would respect and continue projects initiated by any administration.
He made the remark while speaking at the inauguration ceremony of a new football field in AA. Ukulhas.
In this regard, VP Latheef affirmed the current administration’s dedication to completing all pending projects irrespective of which administration initiated the project. He described the newly inaugurated football field at Ukulhas as a symbol of this.
Speaking further, he underscored that youth are an integral part of the nation and pledged to treat their concerns with respect and urgency. On this note, he said youth are the driving force that fuels the country’s advancement and in this trajectory, reiterated the government’s commitment to recognizing and appreciating youth as they are.
As part of the inauguration ceremony, VP Latheef cut the ribbon in front of the field’s stage and signed the ball used in an exhibition match to mark the occasion. The match featured a team comprising of football legends, including former Maldives national team players, that competed against a team of Ukulhas youth.
The ceremony was attended by Minister of Youth, Sports, and Community Empowerment Abdulla Rafiu and Ukulhas Council President Shaukat Ibrahim.
The government states it is committed to revitalize the spirit of football across the Maldives and advance the country’s development in the field of sports.
