A total of 21 students from School of Medicine graduated at the convocation ceremony held on Thursday. The students were presented their certificates by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu who attended the ceremony as the chief guest.
Speaking at the convocation ceremony, MNU’s Chancellor Dr. Mohamed Shaugy said this year’s convocation marked a historical moment.
“In a moment, the University’s legal document that represents that hard work undertaken by 311 students will be bestowed upon them. We proudly note that they include the first batch of students graduating with a degree in Doctor of Medicine,” he said.
MNU’s School of Medicine was founded in 2018. The school offers a five-year undergraduate medical degree, Doctor of Medicine (MD) in line with the curriculum of Malaysia’s national university, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). The program is implemented under the technical guidance of UKM.
