Male’ City Council seeks veterinary doctor, nurse for cat facility

Male’ City Council has made an announcement seeking a veterinary doctor and a nurse for the cat facility being developed by the Council and Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Welfare in Hulhumale’.

As per the announcement in the government gazette, City Council is seeking a veterinary doctor and a nurse for the cat facility, alongside a coordinator.

Prospecting applicants applying for the post of veterinary doctor must have attained a level seven or level eight qualification under the National Qualification Framework in a relevant educational field and must have had at least six years of experience in a relevant field.

Their responsibilities include: 

  • Providing services to customers seeking veterinary services at the Hulhumale’ pet care facility
  • Conducting medical examinations and overseeing the health of cats brought to the pet care facility
  • Making timely visits to districts in Male' area that require veterinary services 

The salary stated for the position is MVR 35,000.

Prospecting applicants applying for the post of veterinary nurse must have attained a level five or level six qualification under the National Qualification Framework in nursing.

Their responsibilities include:

  • Providing services to customers seeking veterinary services at the Hulhumale’ pet care facility
  • Assisting veterinarian in general checkups, treatment and operations.
  • Giving medication for cats as instructed by the veterinarian including injections
  • Blood drawing and collection pee to test for diseases

The salary stated for the position is MVR 8,230, including a service allowance.

 

City Council has instructed interested individuals to submit their applications alongside the relevant documents to the Council at the third floor of H. Hulhugali before 14:00pm on October 29th
