President: Goal while broadcasting should be national advocacy

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has underscored the importance crucial role of the Maldives' broadcasting industry in representing and advocating for the nation and its people.

He made the remark via a post on X on the occasion of National Broadcasting Day.

In this regard, the President, underscoring broadcasting is built on trust and carries a significant responsibility, said the main goal while broadcasting should therewith be representing and advocating for the nation and its people.

Maldives marks October 4^th as National Broadcasting Day annually which stands testament to the industry's recognition and importance. 

This year’s theme for National Broadcasting Day is ‘Visions of tomorrow: Shaping the future of broadcasting’.
