Preparations are almost complete to open a super-specialist clinic of India's KIMS hospital chain frequented by Maldivians traveling to the neighboring nation for medical purposes, in Male’.
The clinic is named ‘Care One’. Speaking regarding the matter, the clinic’s Managing Director Ahmed Saud said the clinic in Male’ will be operated in collaboration with KIMS’ main hospital, KIMS Kerela. KIMS’ super specialty doctors will be seeing patients at the clinic.
As per Saud, services available at the clinic include dental care and lab testing.
“In the future, this establishment will become a facility where hospital and laboratory services are available. The clinic will be one that is beneficial to Maldivian citizens and where high-class doctors offer their services,” he added.
He detailed that the clinic will provide crucial health services including the facilitation of some medications that are not available in the country.
Saud noted that ‘Care One’ will be the only clinic where KIMS' doctors review patients in the Maldives.
The clinic is set to open in the first week of November. Saud said 95 percent of the work on the building is now complete.
The inauguration ceremony of the clinic will be attended by KIMS’ chairperson Dr. Mohamed Ilyas Sahadulla.
KIMS is an Indian hospital chain with healthcare facilities nationwide.
