BML opens applications for vacant CEO post

Bank of Maldives (BML) has opened applications for the post of bank’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) which became vacant on September 9th.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the overall management of the bank
  • Formulating business policies and plans
  • Leading the bank’s employees and encouraging greater participation from them
  • Overseeing the bank’s businesses and operations and ensuring they are proceeding in accordance with the bank’s policies

Requirements:

  • At least 15 years of experience in the banking sector with five years in a senior executive management post
  • Strong planning, analytical, leadership and management skills
  • Skilled in business acumen, communication, management of people and teamwork
  • Graduate degree in banking, finance or a related field
  • Must be a member of a professional banking

BML said the remuneration for the post will be decided based on education and experience. Other benefits besides the basic salary include living allowance, car, medical allowance, repatriation grant, annual airfare, and paid leave.

The post of BML’s CEO became vacant following the resignation of Karm Stumke who previously held the post. Deputy CEO Noordeen has been appointed acting-CEO till the appointment of a new CEO.
