Postmortem to be conducted on dead body found in Kulhudhuffushi lagoon

Postmortem will be conducted on the body of the man found dead in the lagoon of Kulhudhuffushi City on Wednesday morning.

Police said his body will be transported to Male’ City tonight to be sent for postmortem. 

Mohamed Moosa, a spokesperson from the Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital, told Sun that the man, who he identified as a 36-year-old local, was brought in at 08:38 am on Wednesday.

He was already deceased when brought in, confirmed Moosa.

Kulhudhuffushi City’s deputy mayor Ali Ahmed identified the deceased as Mohamed Hassan, 36, Daisyfehi, Kulhudhuffushi.

The circumstances of his death are unclear at this point.

The latest death comes a day after a woman was found dead in N. Holhudhoo with visible injuries on her body. Her body has been transferred to Male' City for further investigation.
