Anara swaps house for beachside plot in Hulhumale’

Anara Naeem, the incumbent parliamentary representative for Huraa constituency, has swapped one of her properties for a beachside land plot from Hulhumale’.

The Civil Court finalized the deal on Thursday. According to court documents, Anara secured the beachside plot from a private citizen. She agreed to swap the beachside plot with one registered to Anara’s name in Hulhumale’.

While the Land Act does not recognize such property swaps, court judgements that date back to before the law was enacted set a precedence for such transactions.
