President encourages students to approach all endeavors with unwavering resolve

Students must approach all their endeavors with unwavering resolve, says President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.

He made the remark while speaking at a ceremony held on Sunday night to inaugurate the ‘Sahthavee Bina’ monument, marking the countdown for the 100th anniversary of Majeediyya School, his old school.

Speaking at the ceremony, President Muizzu urged students to make it their life’s goal to do something meaningful for the community.

He encouraged students to approach all their endeavors with unwavering resolve.

He also urged them to pursue success guided by the righteous path of Almighty Allah and to remain steadfast, even in the face of challenges.

“Endeavor not to be someone who gives up, but rather someone who faces and overcomes all challenges. Change your entire mentality,” he said.

President Muizzu highlighted on the significance of the educational journey.

He said that its true purpose is to educate and train individuals to serve the nation, build their lives, and contribute to their community.

He added that the purpose of studying and educating is to contemplate how to prepare to serve their nation.

“This will help us resolve the major issues facing this country, and will also strengthen the educational journey and the education system,” he said.

At the ceremony, President Muizzu announced plans to develop the first-of-its-kind smart classes at Majeediyya School.

He said that some of the classrooms in the 40-classroom extension building, which will be developed for Majeediyya School next year on the land previously occupied by Dharumavantha School, will be built as smart classes.

He also announced plans to transform Darul Uloom, the cherished old school hall of Majeediyya School alumni, into a National Education Museum.

He said that thie museum would serve as a medium to pass down the rich history of the nation's educational journey to future generations.

After the ceremony, President Muizzu viewed a photo gallery at Darul Uloom.

Majeediyya School is the oldest educational institution in the country. The "Sahthavee Bina" monument, unveiled on Sunday night, symbolizes the academic shelter of the school. The school alumni made all efforts to build the monument.
