Fire breaks out in Male' residence, one hospitalized

A fire broke out from Galolhu Sentuge, Male' City.

Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) confirmed the incident was reported around 20:43hrs on Sunday evening.

The authority later confirmed the fire had been completely extinguished, but added that one has been hospitalized for smoke inhalation.

MNDF did not specify the damages to the residence in the incident.

MNDF later added that two expatriates, from India and Bangladesh, sustained various degrees of burns in the incident, and had been taken to the hospital for treatment.

The authority added that the Bangladesh migrant, taken to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) sustained six percent of burns and the Indian national, taken to ADK Hospital sustained three percent of burns.
