MACL unveils new VIA welcome monument

Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) on Tuesday, inaugurated a new welcome monument at Velana International Airport (VIA).

The new monument features an integrated LED screen displaying current airport events. The monument also complements the design of VIA’s new terminal.

MACL added the initiative is part of its ongoing efforts to enhance passenger experience at the country’s busiest air hub through structural developments.

The airport operator further confirmed of ongoing redesigns to the traffic flow within VIA, with changes to pickup points for passenger convenience.

The pickup point and traffic flow changes reflect the ongoing expansion of VIA, which would enhance better movement within the airport once the new international passenger terminal completes its development cycle, and is inaugurated for passengers.
