MET forecasts rainy weather for next 3 days

Maldives Meteorological Center (MET Office) has forecast bad weather conditions for the next three days.

While speaking to 'Sun', the office said Maldives will experience thunder and heavy rain across the Maldives in the next 24 hours, with the exception of southern atolls.

Seas in these parts are expected to be mild with tidal swells expected reach four feet, while wind speeds will be between five to 15 miles per hour and gusts are expected to reach between 30 to 40 miles per hour.

MET also issued a white alert from Haa Alifu atoll to Alifu Dhaalu atoll between 16:45hrs and 22:30hrs on Wednesday evening.

MET said Maldives is currently experiencing seasonal rain, and expects clear weather by next Saturday.
