Mustafa delighted as he wins a Tesla in Dhiraagu anniversary promo

Telecom company Dhiraagu’s ‘Win a Tesla’ promotion – its biggest promotion yet – offered the lucky winner a life-changing prize. This prize went to Mohamed Mustafa, a native of K. Thulusdhoo, who told Sun that despite entering the lucky draw, he did not really think he would actually win it.

The much-anticipated lucky draw to select the winner of the Tesla was conducted during the Eid show held at the Central Park in Hulhumale’ on Monday night.

The winner turned out to be Mustafa, who resides in Male’ City, but was in Thulusdhoo to spend time with his family on his offday.

Mustafa, who works at Maldives Customs Service, told Sun that he wasn’t expecting to actually win a Tesla.

“I don’t drive a car. I don’t even have a license to drive a car!” he said.

But he said he was delighted to win the prize, nonetheless.

When asked what he plans to do with his prize, he said he has not made a decision yet.

Dhiraagu launched its ‘Win a Tesla’ promotion in October last year, as part of its 35^th anniversary celebrations.

The draw was held among customers who subscribed to plans on or above Postpaid 450 and Fibre Broadband 30M by January 31.

The price of a Tesla Model 3 car offered in the promo starts at USD 42,490 (MVR 654,770). The sleek electric sedan can be controlled with a mobile app, and has autopilot features.
