Dead body discovered inside a van in Hulhumale’

A dead body has been discovered inside a van parked near Hulhumale’ Cemetery.

A witness told Sun that the van had been parked in the spot since morning, however, the dead body had only come to attention late this afternoon.

Police identified the deceased as a male expatriate.

As per the Police, they received a report of an unconscious person inside a van parked in front of Hulhumale’ Cemetery. Citing Hulhumale’ Hospital, Police said the person was declared dead on arrival.

The death is under further investigation.

Police have not disclosed any additional information regarding the case.

Notably, the dead body of a 30-year-old Maldivian man was discovered inside an apartment in Bandeyri Koshi - a housing unit in Male’ City for military personnel, on Monday evening.

Police have decided to conduct an autopsy on the body as per of their investigation.
