Adheeb and Ilham elected as vice presidents of PPM

Tourism Minister Ahmed Adheeb and PPM Parliamentary Group Deputy Leader Ilham Ahmed have been elected as the first vice presidents of PPM.

Temporary results of the secret votes taken at the PPM congress ongoing at Dharubaaruge show that Adheeb, of Abdullah Yameen’s Yageen Team, received 361 out of 400 votes.

Ilham received 301 votes while Abdul Raheem received 268 votes, making the difference a mere 33 votes.

The temporary results have not yet been officially announced at the congress. Adheeb won most of the 12 ballot boxes at the congress.
