Villa College has signed an agreement with Huawei ICT Academy to develop smart classrooms in the college, aimed towards integration of digital innovation.
The college's Rector Dr. Ahmed Anwar signed the agreement on behalf of Villa College while the Head of Huawei Maldives Chen Keung signed on behalf of Huawei ICT Academy.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Director of Marketing and Communications of Villa College, Nizna Ali Didi said the college always prioritized integrating the latest technology in teaching. She added the agreement will assist the college's commitment towards introducing technological infrastructure.
The college further said it would receive ICT assistance from Huawei under the agreement, with the development of smart classrooms being top priority, aimed at enhancing the teaching experience for students.
Villa College further said the smart classrooms will rekindle learning enthusiasm among students and ease the teaching practices of educators.
The agreement signing was followed by a panel discussion. The panel consisted of the Strategic Advisor of Huawei Technologies Sri Lanka and Vice President Indika de Souza, Educational Technology Specialist Dr. Ibrahim Waheed, Lecturer Hussain Naushad and the Associate Member of TradeNet Maldives Company Limited and Lead Data Specialist Mihna Zahir.
