President affirms airport will be developed at Milandhoo as pledged

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, on Tuesday, affirmed that an airport will be developed at Sh. Milandhoo as he had pledged during his presidential campaign.

The President, as part of his ongoing tour of Shaviyani Atoll, visited Milandhoo on Tuesday, during which he met with the residents of the island. Speaking at the meeting, President Muizzu assured that he had not forgotten the pledges he had made during his presidential campaign.

In this trajectory, he revealed that discussions on the development of an Islamic Centre in Milandhoo were presently underway. He also affirmed that the pledges with respect to the development of the roads, developing the hospital, and building a sports complex will also be honored.

“By the will of Almighty, all these pledges will be honored as desired by Milandhoo residents,” he added.

President Muizzu also spoke regarding the current economic state during Tuesday’s meeting.

He also appealed to the residents to ensure the parliament has MPs that will cooperate with the government to ensure the aforesaid projects proceed at a fast pace.
