A Chinese company has been contracted to install additional lifts at Hiyaa towers developed in Hulhumale’ Phase II.

Housing Development Corporation (HDC) said the project was awarded to Shenyang Yuanda Intellectual Group. In this regard, HDC has executed an agreement with the company to install two additional lifts at each tower. Therewith, a total of 32 lifts will be installed in total at 16 towers under this project.

They include a normal lift for general use and a lift that can accommodate stretchers for sick patients.

HDC states the physical works on the installation of the lifts have already commenced. The project is expected to be completed in the span of one year.

The corporation states the additional lifts will decrease the lift queue at Hiyaa towers as well as cut down the wait time.

Installing additional lifts at Hiyaa towers is an electoral pledge of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
