MIRA conducts training on investigation

Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) has conducted a short-term training program on investigation for its employees, in cooperation with the Maldives Police Service.

An official from MIRA said that the program, under the title “Investigation Schools Development Program” was conducted from the 6th to 10th of this month.

The training program was designed to increase awareness among relevant staff of MIRA about financial crimes. The program has been customized to suite the work done by the staff who participated in it on behalf of MIRA.

“The training program informed MIRA staff on how to act when they encounter cases of tax evasion during auditing or investigations”, said the official from MIRA.

Instructors for the program were provided by the Maldives Police Service.
