President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, on Thursday, met with the Maldivian community residing in Beijing as part of his ongoing state visit to China.
The president was accompanied by First Lady Sajidha Mohamed and a delegation of senior government officials.
At the meeting, President Muizzu expressed delight in having the pleasure of meeting locals while abroad. He engaged with the local community, predominantly students, to gain insights into their experiences and challenges while residing abroad.
The president also underscored the significance of capitalizing on the opportunities to pursue higher education in foreign countries.
He affirmed his administration’s commitment to seeking solutions to their concerns.
The first couple is currently in China for a state visit at the invitation of the Chinese President Xi Jinping. They are accompanied by a high-level delegation of the Maldivian government.
During this trip, President Muizzu met with his Chinese counterpart, Xi. A total of 20 MoUs have been executed between Maldives and China during this trip.
