STO reduces price of petrol and diesel

State Trading Organization (STO) has reduced the prices of fuel and diesel sold in Maldives through its subsidiary Fuel Supplies Maldives (FSM).

As such, the price of petrol has been reduced by MVR 0.40 and the price of diesel by MVR 0.45.

With these changes – a petrol liter, which was previously priced at MVR 14.73, will now be sold at MVR 14.62 and a diesel liter, which was previously priced at MVR 14.62, will now be sold at MVR 14.33.

STO last revised the prices of petrol and diesel during this year’s June, by reducing the price of petrol by MVR 0.41 and the price of diesel by MVR 0.63.

STO’s price revisions – whether an increment or a reduction – are reflective of the prices of petrol and diesel in the global market.
