Fahumy dismissed as state minister after four days

Mohamed Fahumy Hassan, who was appointed State Minister for Foreign Affairs by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, has been dismissed from the post just after four days.

The President’s Office has confirmed Fahumy’s dismissal to Sun, without disclosing the reason behind the decision.

Fahumy was appointed to the post on Monday, alongside two other state ministers.

His sudden dismissal comes while the appointment of individuals by President Muizzu to senior posts in his government is still presently underway.

Fahumy has previously served as a member of the Civil Service Commission and the Ambassador of Maldives to Malaysia.
