Rainy weather expected nationwide this weekend

Maldives Metrological Service (Met Office) states rain is expected nationwide this weekend.

As per the office, rain is expected in some northern and central atolls, while scattered showers are expected in others on Friday. Scattered showers are expected across all southern atolls on Saturday.

Looking into Thursday’s weather, thunderstorms are expected across in northern and central atolls while generally fine weather is expected in southern atolls, apart from a few scattered showers.

Slightly rough seas have been forecasted for today and tomorrow.

People are expected to travel this weekend as schools are set to reopen after midterm holidays next week.
