The opposition PPM-PNC’s presidential candidate, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu says that there will not be a single individual in Addu City who isn’t guaranteed housing, by the end of his administration, if he is elected to office.

In a campaign rally in Hithadhoo on Wednesday, Muizzu said that housing is the biggest crisis facing Addu.

He said he will run housing projects and issue housing loans.

“It will be available to all Addu residents. Housing projects and loans. The goal I want to guarantee for everyone, the goal I will guarantee for everyone, is that by the end five years, there will not be anyone in this city who isn’t guaranteed housing,” he said.

Muizzu said he plans on developing Maldives in regions – which he said was the only way to ensure sustainable development.

He promised to realize the vision the people of Addu have for the city.

Muizzu also promised to develop parks like the Rasrani Bageecha developed during former president Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom’s administration in all cities.
